There were effective systems... However, some of these records had not yet been transitioned appropriately... Some processes related to medicines management were not as efficient as they could have been.

Staff told us they felt supported and able to raise any concerns... Staff morale is good... they worked together as a team, morale is good, and they had opportunities to progress their career.

Our observations confirmed there were enough staff deployed to keep people safe and meet their needs... some staff told us they did not feel there was always enough staff at weekends which was stressful for them but did not affect people’s care.

Staff were suitably trained and had their competencies assessed regularly. Staff told us they received regular supervision... The registered manager had organised for specialist training... e.g. PEG care.

Staff said the registered manager had made improvements and provided them with guidance and support. Comments included, “Staff morale is good – sometimes it's stressful, but it's a good team.” and I feel supported in my role. If I need them, they are there.”

People were supported to access outside services... e.g. Work placements; to participate in their chosen leisure activities... We observed people having their preferences... going out for the day... disco... coffee shops, parks.
