Serious safety risks from poor medicine handling and infection control make every shift feel unsafe for you and residents.

Poor medicines management meant people’s health and wellbeing were at risk. People were at risk of infection due to poor infection prevention and control processes and practice.

Residents say there are not enough staff especially at night and weekends, so you get stretched and cannot respond quickly.

Most people spoken with had concerns about staffing levels and told us there were not always enough staff. One person said, “At night it’s terrible - there’s not enough [staff] on to look after us all.”

Managers lack oversight so safety and quality problems keep happening without quick fixes.

The governance processes in place were not effective and management did not have oversight of issues identified at the assessment.
