There had been several recent incidents at the service that had required investigation under safeguarding. Some people had received care that did not meet their needs and had placed them at risk.
Despite the need to keep people safe during the COVID-19 pandemic taking priority, the provider and staff had worked hard to improve quality and leadership at the service... morale had improved amongst the staff team.
In the recent months prior to the inspection, there had been a relatively high turnover of staff at the service... regular agency staff with experience of the service were routinely used.
Documentation showed that staff training was up to date, and staff told us that the training they received assisted them to carry out their role effectively.
