Risks to people's health were monitored and reviewed in a timely way. Medicines were administered safely. Staff had received safeguarding training and knew how to report concerns confidently.
There was a positive culture in the service... warm and welcoming atmosphere... Staff were complimentary of the management team... people and staff are very fond of them.
A nurse told us, 'There are enough staff on shift, the level is adjusted according to people's needs and they don't use agency staff here.' Rotas confirmed the level of staff deployed was consistent.
Per 2019 comprehensive inspection: Staff completed a thorough induction, undertook additional training to meet people's needs, and the registered manager met regularly with staff to review their practice and development.
People, relatives and staff thought the service was well managed. They felt supported and able to raise any concerns which were taken seriously. Staff described the registered manager as visible, approachable and hands on.
There were several meaningful activities available... good links with the local community... range of activities for people with different interests. Local schools had previously been invited into the service.
