During the inspection we saw a number of medication errors in regard to medication stock and recording. However, this had not impacted on people.
There was an open culture within the home and people could approach all staff and management to express their thoughts and felt listened to.
People told us there were enough staff, one person said, 'There are always enough staff on duty.' We observed there were enough staff available to support people and their needs.
Staff received an induction and training which supported them to deliver effective care to people. There was a supervision matrix in place and staff informed us they received supervision.
The service did not have a manager registered with the Care Quality Commission. However, there was a manager in place who was going through the registration process with the Care Quality Commission.
There were a variety of activities people could choose from. For example, people could access a social club... Community activities regularly took place... People were able to go on holidays and day trips... a gardening project was set up.
