Working at Hampton Grove Care Home

People felt safe living in the service. Risks had been identified and assessed to ensure that action had been taken to keep people safe. Staff followed good practice guidance to prevent the spread of infection and gave people their medicines safely.

Staff were positive and told us they enjoyed working at the service. One staff member said, "We have a good team and all work together." All the staff we asked said they would be happy with a family member receiving care at this service.

There were sufficient staff to ensure that people were safe. Some staff felt that an additional member of staff would help in meeting people needs in a timelier way.

Per 2019 comprehensive inspection: Staff told us, "The training here is very good." They had been able to complete more advanced training in some areas, such as dementia care, and received supervision as individual meetings.

Staff told us the registered manager was approachable and their door was always open. We received positive comments about the registered manager from people who live at the service, relatives and staff team.

Per 2019 comprehensive inspection: Dedicated staff members were employed to organise things for people to do each day. A program of these activities was available on noticeboards around the home and activities were available throughout the week and weekend.
