People were supported to take positive risks towards independence using a creative and comprehensive approach to risk taking... The service managed incidents affecting people's safety well. Staff recognised incidents and reported them appropriately, and managers investigated incidents and shared lessons learned.

Without exception staff told us they loved their jobs... The provider was passionate about improving people's quality of life and it was clear staff shared this vision and were proud to work for the service.

Training was tailor-made to meet the needs of people living at the service. This included... positive behaviour support, trauma-informed care... Some staff had received specific and additional training to enable them to become 'champions' in particular areas.

Staff told us the management team were very knowledgeable, inspired a caring approach and led by example.

People had access to a range of other activities both inside the home and in the community... gardening and baking... multisensory room... walking group... work experience.
