People were protected from abuse... Staff were confident any safeguarding concerns would be dealt with effectively... The provider had acted appropriately to protect people... Medicines were managed safely... systems and processes in place to identify learning and share lessons when things went wrong.
Since the new ownership... people and staff told us they felt the new leadership had created a warm and friendly culture within the service... open and empowering culture in which they felt able to contribute.
Staffing levels were good and appropriate to ensure people's needs were met in a safe, timely and consistent way. We saw there were good numbers of suitably recruited staff on duty.
Staff said they received good training that enabled them to provide effective care and support. Staff training included mandatory training... additional specialist training was required, the registered manager ensured this was provided. An example of this was for dementia care.
