Working at Grays Court

No permanent manager registered yet, even though a new one just started a week before inspection.

At the time of our inspection there was not a registered manager in post. A new manager had been in post for one week and had submitted an application to register.

Staffing levels are adequate and match needs, but nothing said about low staff turnover or no agency use.

There were enough staff to support people's needs. A relative told us, 'Whenever I have been there, there is always at least one member of staff available.'

Only standard training like safeguarding and moving and handling, no specialist courses or funded qualifications.

People were supported by staff who had received relevant training. This included training in the wide range of strengths and impairments... Staff completed practical moving and handling training.
