Staff told us they understood their roles and responsibilities and felt well supported. They described managers as being accessible and visible within the home.
People were leading full and busy lives. Staff supported people to attend activities of their choice such as swimming, music therapy, massage, spa treatments, arts and crafts, pottery, dry ski-ing and community outings.
Some accident records are not fully completed, so the manager cannot always check that minor injuries were fully investigated.
Recording of some incidents and accidents was not complete. This meant that the registered manager could not be assured that all incidents and minor injuries were being investigated thoroughly.
Bank staff sometimes cover shifts when regular staff are sick.
One relative told us they felt there were enough staff, saying, 'They do use bank staff sometimes.' Another staff member said, 'There is the odd day when someone phones in sick but we tend to get cover from another bungalow.'
