Staff responsible for people's medicines had not always had their knowledge and competency of medicines management checked... Where people were prescribed 'as required' (PRN) medicines, guidance was not in place.
Staff told us they felt supported by the management team. A staff member told us, 'Management are always supportive, always there to help.'
There were sufficient staff deployed in the service. Ratio of staff to people was calculated using a dependency tool based on people's needs... people's needs were being responded to in a timely manner.
