Staff protected people from abuse and understood the providers safeguarding procedures to keep people safe from harm. People's medicines were managed and stored in a safe way. The provider learned lessons when things had gone wrong

One staff member said 'It's a lovely place to work.' Staff felt well supported and valued by the registered manager and provider. Staff told us there was a good level communication between the different teams, and they worked together well

The provider took exceptional actions to ensure there were sufficient numbers of suitable staff. Staff told us there were sufficient staff to meet people's needs. They told us how they had quality time to spend with people and did not always feel rushed

Staff told us the provider supported them with training which was beyond the mandatory training they had experienced in other care settings. One staff member told us 'We've done LGBTQIA+ which I haven't been offered in any other service I've worked at before'

Staff felt well supported and valued by the registered manager and provider. Staff had supervisions, staff meetings and opportunities to raise any queries or improvements they may have. Relatives told us '[Registered manager's name] is approachable, their door is always open'
