Staff told us the morale within the team was excellent and the staff team worked well together. One staff member said, “The staff team always get along and are very happy, I would give this place a 100 out of a 100.”
People, relatives and staff told us there were enough staff. One staff member said, “We have enough staff on every day, it has been increased and has worked well.”
Staff were supported with their professional development and told us they received enough training to carry out their roles. Some staff supervisions were overdue, in line with the providers policy at the time of our inspection.
Staff told us they felt supported in their roles and told us the team worked effectively together. The registered manager operated an open door policy and they felt comfortable to discuss any concerns and suggestions with them.
People and staff told us activities were varied for people, this included singers, entertainers, brass bands, bingo, arts and crafts and parties. Key events were celebrated.

The home had a malodor, and cleaning and maintenance was needed in some areas. For example, we found some PPE stations which did not contain adequate supplies of PPE... More robust records were required to ensure staff understood how and when to administer as required medicines.
