Improvements had been made to ensure staff had the guidance they needed to minimise people's identified risks. Staff were knowledgeable about safeguarding and could explain the processes to follow if they had concerns. Records showed people received their medicines as prescribed.

The provider had demonstrated a caring and supportive attitude towards staff... They had introduced a 'COVID Clinic' where staff could share any concerns... Meetings with staff were used as an opportunity to share information... open communication with staff.

There were enough staff to ensure people's needs were met safely. Staff had time to spend with people and respond to their requests for assistance.

Staff felt supported by the registered manager. One staff member told us, 'If I ever had a problem, I know I would be able to go to him.'

There were activities in the morning and afternoon including exercises and bingo. The activities coordinator put on quizzes, reminiscence and there was a recent gardening competition. People had been given iPads... music system.
