Working at Ferndale

There were enough staff employed to meet people's care and support needs, flexibly, safely, and staffing levels matched the staffing rota.

Staff were well trained and had ongoing support in their roles. One staff member said, 'Fab support. We have regular supervisions... Training is good; if we need an update they send you an email to remind you.'

Relatives said the home was well-run, and the registered manager and deputy manager were very approachable. The provider ensured people, their relatives and staff views were listened to and acted upon.

People enjoyed regular activities and interests both within and outside of the home. People went to local events, shopping, walking, to the theatre, for meals and lunches out and on holidays. One person had their lovely art studio in the garden.
