A positive culture was promoted within the service whereby staff felt empowered to speak up and contribute to peoples' plans of care; staff said 'We get to contribute when professionals visit as we know the service users best'.

People were supported by enough safely recruited staff to support people living in the service. Per 2019 comprehensive inspection: low turnover of staff and enough staff available even for high needs like three staff for 13 hours per day.

Staff received an extensive programme of training including advanced behaviour management training, autism specific training and epilepsy support; training matrix and regular supervisions used.

The registered manager was very approachable, staff told us they were supported well and encouraged to share ideas to achieve the best outcomes for the people they supported.

Per 2019 comprehensive inspection: provider worked alongside specialist autistic organisation to develop sensory garden, weekly shop and cook sessions, swimming, bowling, autistic specialist centre, community outings and holidays.
