Bosses keep changing with three managers in three years and some staff feel scared and intimidated by them.

We found there had been 3 different home managers in post within the last 3 years. Some members of staff told us they felt “intimidated”, and “fearful,” of management.

Not enough staff so you're always rushed, run off your feet, and can't spend time with residents.

We observed staffing levels were insufficient to safely and effectively meet the number and complexity of people’s care needs. “Staff are run off their feet and do not have time to talk and listen to people they are supporting.”

Constant safety issues like dirty equipment, poor hygiene, medicine errors, and hazards make the workplace stressful and unsafe.

Dirty equipment such as wheelchairs, hairbrushes, toilets, and commodes were found throughout the home. Medicines were found in the rooms of people who did not self-administer, and one person had not received their prescribed medicine for several days.
