"Strong training, safety practices and positive culture, but no permanent manager creates leadership instability and uncertainty for relatives."

The service had enough staff... A staff member told us, 'Not bad staffing levels. Mostly there are three people: one senior, one manager and one staff. Night duty one staff member only. This is enough at night.'
All staff had completed the Oliver McGowan training which is a specialised training for working with people with a learning disability. Staff received support in the form of continual supervision, appraisal and recognition of good practice.
At the time of the inspection there was not a registered manager in post. The team leader was supported by members of the wider management team. Relatives told us they were not always sure who was managing the home.
There were weekly general activities plans which people had helped create and people took part if they wanted to. People also had individual activities plans... supported to attend a weekly cycling club. Some people attended a day centre.
