Some safety risks like a locked fire exit and confusion over one person's allergy make it less secure.

one route labelled as a fire exit had two locked doors... one person had an allergy written in their care plan. The registered manager was unaware of this.

Only basic outings and cooking sessions, no activities coordinator or varied programme to make the job more interesting.

People were able to participate in a range of activities... going out into the community in a car, walking or public transport... structured timetables which included cooking sessions.

Staffing is adequate now but recruitment checks had gaps and levels were difficult before.

Recruitment of new staff had some shortfalls or omissions... staff levels had been difficult and the management had worked hard to rectify this.
