Reports of possible abuse to the local council were not always made quickly enough, and guidance on when to give as-needed meds had gaps.

The provider's safeguarding policy and processes were being improved to ensure safeguards were made to the local authority in a timely way. The procedure and guidance for giving people their medicines ‘as and when required’ was being improved as there was not always enough detail to indicate when they should be given.

Staffing is adequate but nothing special, with some agency workers covering shifts.

Agency staff were used to provide additional support where required.

Only basic activities and social events mentioned with no coordinator or varied programme, so the role is mostly routine personal care.

People told us they were aware of the activities and social events available to them. We observed activities taking place and people being engaged in communal areas and in having one to one support from staff.
