Working at Eastfield

We observed sufficient staff on duty throughout the day... Staff told us they felt there were enough of them to provide care... in a calm, unrushed way... “I’ve not seen many agency (staff).”

Staff had received the necessary training for the role resulting in a confident and competent workforce... All staff said the induction/training programme was robust... specialist training was required, this was provided to them. For example, acquired brain injury or epilepsy.

We have the therapy dogs come in and a local bird group did a presentation. We’ve gone out into the community to the local coffee morning club and garden centre... barbeques. They had tea and cakes for Father’s and Mother’s Day. They do keep fit in chairs, get in a petting zoo and therapy dogs.
