People received safe care and treatment from staff who understood their healthcare needs and followed healthcare guidance from professionals. Medicines were managed safely by competent nursing staff.

Staff felt supported and listened to by managers and commented teamwork had improved. Staff said, “This is a good place to work; the atmosphere is good” and “There is a very positive culture in the staff team.”

Staff told us there were enough of them to provide good quality and timely care to people. One staff member said, “There are always enough staff. We are never short.”

The provider introduced a new training platform which staff found easier to negotiate and which resulted in improved overall staff competence levels. There was also increased provision of face-to-face training.

Leaders were approachable and worked in an open and transparent way. Staff were complimentary around the leadership and management of the home and the support they had been receiving in their roles.
