No permanent manager in post yet, as the new one is still registering.

At the time of our inspection there was not a registered manager in post. The new manager was in the process of applying to become registered.

Not enough staff at busy times like mornings, leaving call bells unanswered too long.

There are not enough staff at certain points in the day. On each floor there are only three carers and, in the morning, one of us does the medication which leaves the other two staff to get people up.

Medication errors with stock not matching records and missing guidance on pain relief.

We checked three people's medicines and found stock discrepancies in each. Where discrepancies in stock levels were identified, it was not always clear what action was taken to investigate the errors.
