Staff had a good understanding of safeguarding processes, and had received appropriate training in this field. Records showed the provider had acted appropriately when incidents of suspected abuse had occurred.
Managers had created a culture which was open, collaborative and respectful.
When staff were recruited, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks been completed and references sought from previous employers. This helped to make sure staff were fit for the role.
Staff training records showed they had received a range of training in areas appropriate to the needs of people using the service. All staff held a nationally recognised qualification in care.
Staff we spoke with were positive about the registered manager and the service manager. One staff member said: "They are really supportive, you can talk to them whenever you need to."
