People who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse... safeguarding concerns had been reported... learning from incidents/investigations took place... There were appropriate arrangements in place... for medicines.
There was an open culture within the service... People and relatives told us that the service was run well... However, some of staff told us they did not feel supported.
The registered manager told us the service was always adequately staffed. However, some staff felt that they could do with more of them on shifts. One member of staff said, 'Sometimes we don't have enough staff on duty.'
Staff had been trained in areas such as food hygiene, health and safety, Mental Capacity Act, challenging behaviour, autism, infection control and safeguarding. They confirmed they had undertaken regular training... 'The training is good.'

The service provided activities... normally had two activity coordinators... school choir... quiz... outings to the local garden centre... sensory activities and one to one activities.
