The provider had not always ensured staff followed safeguarding policies and procedures. The provider did not always assess or mitigate risks to people’s health and safety. Care plans and risk assessments in place for people were not always detailed or accurate.
We received mixed feedback from staff about how the management supported their wellbeing. Some staff did not feel well supported or listened to. However, other staff said their well being was supported and promoted. Most of the staff we spoke with told us there was good teamwork in the service.
We received mixed feedback about the availability of staff to meet people’s needs... as no system was in place to assess the number of staff required, the provider could not be assured the staffing levels were adequate to safely meet the needs of people living in the home.
