Risks to people were adequately mitigated as assessment processes were effective in identifying and risks. People received their medicines on time and in a safe way. However, applications to deprive a person of their liberty had not always been made in a timely manner.
Members of staff told us how they felt supported by the manager and had seen improvements since the last inspection. One member of staff confirmed, “There’s a much better atmosphere and better team working.”
Appropriate staffing levels were in place to help ensure people received safe, good quality care that met their needs. However, we did observe people left in the main lounge for a prolonged period without staff intervention.
Staff confirmed they received an induction when they started and the training they needed for their role. Staff had completed a full induction and all mandatory training.

An activity co-ordinator helped to facilitate activities for people. People told us... “They [staff] have things going on here. I sometimes join in,” “We have a singer sometimes and it’s great” and “They have things like Bingo. I just watch.”
