Medication safety has gaps like poor records of when creams are applied and unreliable storage temperature checks.

A clearer system was needed to enable staff to accurately record the application of people's topical medication at the time these were administered... effective system for monitoring the temperature of medicines storage... controlled drugs stock checks were not carried out on a sufficiently frequent basis.

Training is standard mandatory stuff like dementia and safe lifting with supervisions, but no specialist courses or paid qualifications.

Staff received training in dementia awareness, food hygiene, safe moving and handling and infection control... annual mandatory training... one-to-one supervisions.

Staffing is enough so no one rushes but no details on long-serving staff or avoiding agency workers.

Appropriate staffing levels were maintained to ensure people's needs could be safely met... 'We have time, and no one is rushed in any way. We have enough staff.'
