Staff felt well supported, valued and reported improved communication, training, teamwork and morale. Staff comments included, 'The management are very nice…are very accommodating' and 'I feel absolutely supported, they are brilliant.'

There were enough staff to meet people's needs, with ongoing efforts to recruit staff. Any gaps in the rota were covered by existing staff working extra shifts, or agency staff.

Records showed all staff were up to date with their online training. Staff also received additional training relevant to people's individual care needs. For example, training in managing choking risks and the use of emergency medicine, for people with epilepsy.

People were part of their local community and enjoyed going to the local shop, walking and visiting local coffee shops and restaurants. Several people enjoyed gardening... People had opportunities to socialise... going sailing recently, others were looking forward to resuming horse riding.
