In the majority of cases, there was accurate recording of the administration of medicines. However, we found examples of where some controlled medicines had not been recorded in line with current legislation... we also saw two examples of [opening dates] not taking place.
There was a positive open culture at the service that valued people as individuals and looked for ways to continually improve people's experience and safety.
A staff member told us 'Yeah, I would say most of the time there is enough staff, sometimes we have people calling in sick and we will have agency in but I think it's pretty good most of the time'.
Per 2018 comprehensive inspection: Staff told us and we saw they received sufficient training to meet people's needs. Staff followed a programme of core training, with alerts when training updates were due... Staff were given regular supervision.
Staff were extremely complimentary of the support they received from the registered manager. One staff member said, '(Registered Manager) ... listens and she is open to anything you have to say whether it is good or bad... she involves herself with the residents on a daily basis'.
