Risks to people's health and wellbeing were assessed and managed. Medicines were managed safely. There was a culture of learning when things had gone wrong.

Staff spoke positively about the supportive leadership and culture within the service. 'This is the best home I have worked in with the best management team I've had.'

There were enough staff to support people. Observations throughout the inspection showed that there were enough staff on duty to meet people's needs in a timely manner.

Records showed staff had completed mandatory training. Staff were offered other training and development opportunities. Staff received regular supervision sessions.

Staff told us they enjoyed working there and felt supported by the registered manager and provider; systems required more time to become fully embedded.

The provider employed an activity coordinator who involved people in choosing activities, such as regular themed 'film days' made into a cinema style experience with popcorn.
