Staff told us they had regular supervision and staff meetings and felt well support by the management team.

The provider had implemented the use of a dependency tool to calculate the needs of people in relation to the amount of staff needed... regularly provided staffing numbers above the calculated need.

Staff had been supported to refresh their skills and gain new skills through face to face training and on-line training... completed several courses including, catheter care, dementia awareness and communication.

Staff told us management was always available and present at the service.

We saw there was a varied activities program at the service to help people stay engaged in social activities. The registered manager had made links with a local primary school and the children had written individual letters to people.
