Working at Church Terrace Nursing Home

No permanent manager in post yet, the new one has only been there 4 months and is not registered, with quality checks still needing work.

At the time of our inspection there was not a registered manager in post. A new manager had been in post for 4 months and had submitted their application to register. The manager was relatively new to the role and had recently introduced a range of quality auditing systems... These new systems needed time to be embedded.

Staffing is adequate with enough people on shifts including for one-to-one care, but no details on staff retention or agency use.

There were enough staff on duty to support people safely, this included people who required 1:1 level of support.

Only standard induction, refresher training and one recent course, no specialist development or funded qualifications mentioned.

Staff received an induction, training and their skills were regularly refreshed. Staff had recently attended a training course on a particular health condition.
