The provider had implemented new processes to ensure safeguarding concerns were reported... However, whilst these were reported to the local safeguarding authority these were not always referred in a timely manner.
Staff felt supported by the management team and told us they would act on any concerns. Regular staff meetings and debriefs took place to ensure staff were supported.
Staff rota’s we reviewed demonstrated there were always enough staff on duty. Whilst we received mixed feedback about the number of staff on duty, we found no evidence to support a lack of staff.
Staff completed a variety of training courses which meant people were supported safely. Staff told us they had received further training since our last assessment which increased their competence.
There was a strong management team in place who were experienced and knew the service and supported people well. People knew the leadership team well and told us they were approachable.
A dedicated activity team were available 7 days a week. A wide variety of activities were on offer including arts and crafts, exercise, karaoke and community outings.
