Medicines audits were carried out by the registered manager. Records were kept of medicines held in stock. We checked several of these and found one was inaccurate. This was for paracetamol. An error had been made in counting the amount in stock, but no error had been made in administering the medicine.
There was a positive culture at the service which was person centred and inclusive. A relative told us, 'It's very good, a nice and friendly atmosphere.'
Staff told us at times it was busy, and an extra member of staff would be helpful, especially in relation to supporting people to access the community. However, staff also said they had enough time to ensure people were supported in a way that was safe.
