Systems were in place to keep people safe. Medicines were safely managed, and risks to people's safety were assessed and guidance was available for staff to follow.
Staff felt supported by the management and felt welcomed by the team at the service. We were told there was good teamwork and good communication amongst the staff.
During our visit the home was experiencing a COVID-19 outbreak. This had impacted on staff availability, and people told us at times there had not been enough staff.
Staff had received training on safeguarding and understood their role in keeping people safe. Staff administering medicines had training and their competence was checked.
There was a registered manager in post who was a visible presence at the service. People and relatives told us the service was well managed.
The activities lady is very nice, she manages the social events and they have quite a few things going on usually, quizzes and entertainers.
