There were systems in place to protect people from the risk of abuse and ensure that their belongings were kept safe. Each person had risk assessments specific to their individual needs... balancing the need to keep people safe whilst also encouraging positive risk taking.

People and staff told us they found the registered manager approachable and that there was an open culture throughout the service. Staff liked working at the service and there was a low turnover of staff.

People told us they thought there was a good, stable staff team. There were enough staff available to meet people's needs. Staff worked flexibly to be able to support people with activities and trips in the community.

Staff were supported to develop within the service and had been supported with additional training and qualifications. Staff received regular training and supervision with the registered manager to ensure that their skills were up to date.

People told us that they found the registered manager to be approachable. People said that they had their feedback listened to and felt involved in the service.
