Working at Cavell Park Care Home

The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety... Staff listened to concerns about safety and investigated and reported safety events. Lessons were learnt.

All the staff we spoke to told us they were well supported and liked working in the home. They told us they were listened to and had the opportunity to progress in their roles.

People, relatives and staff told us staffing was adequate. Staff said, 'We are mostly enough. If we are short staffed, they [registered manager] always authorise us to call agency staff to cover.'

Staff were supported in their roles through effective induction, support, supervision and appraisals. Staff had training in safeguarding, MCA, DoLS, infection control and dementia.

The registered manager was approachable and supportive. One staff member told us, '[Registered manager] is always here if we need support. I can go into her office anytime and she would listen and support me.'
