Managers changed a lot in the past, causing instability and low staff morale.

Staff told us the service had experienced many changes in leadership and practices, which had led to a period of instability and caused low staff morale.

Medication stock and instructions had gaps and errors, risking people not getting their medicine right.

We saw several instances where medicines stock was not always maintained and instructions for safe administration contained gaps and were conflicting, this meant the provider could not be sure if people had received their medicines in line with the prescriber’s direction.

Only basic training mentioned like consent and communication skills, no specialist courses or funded qualifications.

Staff had received training and told us the importance of asking consent before providing care for people.
