The registered manager ensured incidents or errors were reviewed and lessons were learned. The provider had recently moved to an electronic medicines administration system, which meant errors were easier to identify and avoid.
Staff felt they could raise any issues with the registered manager. They knew they would be listened to and fair, prompt action would follow. The culture was an open, positive one.

The staff team was a combination of experienced staff who had been at the service for a number of years, and some relatively new staff. The balance was working well.
