The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety, based on openness and honesty. Staff listened to concerns about safety and investigated and reported safety events. Lessons were learnt.
Staff received excellent support from the provider and the management team. All staff spoke extremely highly of the support they received. They felt valued and enjoyed working at the service.
There were enough staff to support people safely and ensure their needs were met. We observed there were enough staff who were able to meet people’s needs in a timely way.
Staff received training that was appropriate for their role... including learning disability, autism, positive behaviour support and epilepsy. Staff told us they were given opportunities for further training. There was a supervision program.
The provider and management team were exceptional in their leadership of the service. They led by example which meant people received excellent care tailored to their needs.
Staff supported people to volunteer locally without support, attend mainstream college courses, assist in the kitchen after college training, and work independently in a café after risk mitigation with partners.
