Hiring sometimes misses full checks on past jobs, so not totally sure about new staff.

we found one file had gaps in their employment history and other files had the year staff left previous employment and not the month they left. This meant we could not be assured employment gaps had been fully explored to ensure staff were safe to work at the service.

Some risk assessments lack enough detail to fully guide staff on keeping people safe.

some of these contained limited information and more details were required to ensure they were robust.

Infection control slips like staff wearing nail polish set a bad example.

At this inspection we saw some staff with painted nails... this was not setting a good example to other staff and in an emergency could be called to provide direct care to people.
