Working at Cambrian Lodge

Staff numbers are usually enough with no agency but some say short staffed sometimes, worse on weekends, covered by staff doing extra shifts.

We received mixed feedback... One person said 'Not always enough, short sometimes but we don't have agency staff'. Relatives 'Definitely need more help, slightly worse at weekends'.

Training covers standard topics and some like dementia care but no funded qualifications or career paths mentioned.

Training covered areas such as food hygiene, health and safety, dementia awareness, safeguarding, diabetes and end of life care.

Activities include weekly programme of exercises, crafts and singing but no specialist approaches or coordinator to enrich the role.

A range of activities... chair exercises... craft activity... gardening, singing and church service.
