“Teamwork within the service is good.” Another staff member said, “Any time I go to registered manager or coordinator they listen to what I have to say. They are always there to support and direct the staff team.”

We observed there were enough staff deployed at the service to meet people’s needs and keep them safe. Staff told us there was enough staff to meet people’s needs.”

We saw a training matrix, this indicated that staff had received training on epilepsy, diabetes, fire safety, health and safety, first aid, food hygiene and moving people, safeguarding adults, the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA) and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS). Staff had also received Oliver McGowan training.”

Staff told us they were well supported by the registered manager and coordinator. One staff member told us, “I have received all the support I need. The registered manager and coordinators are approachable and reliable.”

One person told us they were able to take part in lots of activities, they said they attended music classes, and they were going out to a dance group. Three other people told us they were going indoor bowling, and they were looking forward to a garden party the coming weekend.”
