Some safety checks still slip, like a pressure-relieving mattress set wrong and missing as-needed meds when needed.

of the mattresses we checked, 1 was set incorrectly for a person. This person had a pressure ulcer... medicines prescribed 'as needed' had not been given when the person's health needs changed.

Only basic activities like games, colouring and garden time, with mixed feedback on enough to keep people stimulated.

There were mixed views about if there was enough for people to do... A relative said, 'The residents are often left to sit unstimulated for protracted lengths of time.'

Staffing is adequate for low occupancy but uses occasional agency and could do with extra hours for more one-to-one time.

A person said, 'I think there are enough staff to cover requirements, however I do think that some additional staff hours could be added... agency staff were not used as often as they previously had and were only used occasionally.'
