Leadership has gaps in oversight, like missing some quality checks on accidents and mental capacity forms.

some of the concerns identified on the day of inspection had not been picked up by the registered manager's quality assurance processes. We have made a recommendation about the management and analysis of accident and incident information.

Staffing is adequate but some days staff struggle and there used to be more agency workers.

We received mixed feedback from people and their relatives around having enough staff. One person told us, 'Staff do struggle a bit sometimes but there is usually enough staff around.' ... 'there were a lot of agency staff, but you see less now.'

Activities are basic like quizzes and music with an activity lead, but no specialist programmes to make the role more varied.

People were engaged in various activities... We saw hand massages taking place, music playing... activity board displayed... hairdresser visited the home weekly.
