Working at Brentwood Arches Care Home

All staff worked effectively to safeguard people from the risk of abuse... Incidents and accidents were recorded, and this information was used to identify trends... Medicine errors were investigated thoroughly.

Staff were well managed and worked well together as a team. Staff told us they enjoyed working at the service and morale was good.

We observed throughout our inspection that there were enough staff to provide safe, good quality support. Staffing was very well organised and adapted flexibly as required.

Staff received the necessary training and guidance to develop their skills... Staff had comprehensive training. They were observed dispensing medication and their competence checked three times by senior staff.

There were plentiful activities on offer which promoted their wellbeing and enjoyment of life... exercise classes daily, quiz evenings, cooking, pottery and artwork.
