Equipment used to support people with their mobility was unclean and unhygienic... Hand sanitiser units mounted on walls throughout the home were empty and dirty... medication room door open and unattended... cabinets containing people’s medication was unlocked... fire escape route was obstructed

Managers do not do proper checks or audits so cleanliness and safety problems build up unnoticed.

There was a lack of checks and audits carried out across the home to identify and mitigate risks... registered manager confirmed they did not maintain any records of their checks and findings

Staff numbers are adequate but residents wait a long time for help and staff sometimes skip cleaning equipment between uses.

One person told us they had to wait a long time when needing assistance... Staff routinely used unclean equipment to assist people with their mobility... served people drinks without cleaning jugs and cups in between use
