Working at Bramble House

People were safe and protected from abuse at Bramble House. Risks to people's health were assessed and action taken to reduce these and improve people's wellbeing.

Staff told us they received the leadership and direction they required and felt part of a team. Morale is better than it was before. It's a lot to do with the new structure and us coming together as a team.

There were enough staff to meet peoples care needs. The service worked in partnership with two main care agencies that provided staff to Bramble House in the event of staff absence.

Per 2019 comprehensive inspection: Records showed staff were provided with a wide range of training specific to people's needs such as; safeguarding, medicine management, infection control, MCA and DoLS and first aid, and some on-line dementia training.

Staff were positive about the registered manager. They told us the registered manager was firm but fair, approachable and was proactive when dealing with any issues that arose.

Per 2019 comprehensive inspection: An activity co-ordinator planned daily activities such as; singing, music and exercises for people to participate in if they wished.
