Only basic activities like monthly art tutor visits, church visits, and occasional singing, so the job is mostly routine personal care.

staff told us the church often visited the home. On the day of assessment, we saw how people were involved in singing when a singer from the community went in and did a singing activity with the people. People told us they enjoyed the activities available for example, one person showed us a piece of art which they did with an art tutor who came into the home once a month.

Some risk records for staff were not up to date, like wrong turning times after sores healed or sling left on too long while sitting.

one person had been sat in a chair with their sling on for a long period of time... one person’s risk assessment guided staff to reposition the person every 2 hours due to a pressure sore. However, this information was not accurate as the person’s sore had healed.

Staffing is adequate but nothing special, just sufficient numbers with no info on stable team or easy workloads.

there were sufficient staff deployed, and staff were suitably recruited and trained.
